Happy Belated Thanksgiving

Hope you all had a day full of blessings yesterday. I was too busy cooking, eating and being with family to write but I meant to. You all are blessings to me. Thanks for being part of my life.

Planning my Thanksgiving meal with a little help from my friends from Gooseberry

The new Harvest Table is full of yummy recipes and ideas. I just might be making this Mashed Potato and Turkey Soup with the leftovers. 2T butter 1 yellow onion, diced 2c. sliced mushrooms 1 carrot, peeled and grated 1 t. thyme 4c. chicken broth 3c mashed potatoes 2c cooked turkey Melt butter in large pan, add next four ingredients and saute until onion is translucent. Add broth and mashed potatoes, stirring until broth is smooth. Add turkey, Cook until hot. Serves 6 Enjoy!

Girl's Night Out this Thursday

Join us October 18th for our Girl's Night Out from 5:30-7:30. We are having sips and nibbles, Halloween is half off, drawings, games and Estole will be at the shop at 6 to do free Tarot Card readings. I think that is everything. We have lots of fun so hope to see you then!

I don't know why the previous post won't let me have spaces instead of a big runon. Corn Chowder 2 cans corn 1 can creamed corn cooked bacon cream Just mix in a pan and heat. I add cream to tast and of course lots of bacon. Hopefully, this is easier to read.

Yum!

Easy to make muffins- both sweet and savory. Today is a cold, windy, wet day. I just might need to make some of these Parmesan Herb muffins to go with the Corn Chowder we are having for dinner. Thought I would share the recipe for the Corn Chowder- so easy! Corn Chowder (serves 2) 2 cans corn 1 can creamed corn cooked bacon cream Just mix together and heat, the more cream, the less chunky. I do like it chunky. And obviously, the more bacon, the better. You could also add some sauted onions but I am not big on onions so I leave them out. How easy is this!
