Our Getaway

Mr. Willow and I escaped for a overnight getaway this weekend. We took the RailRunner up to Santa Fe. It was the first time we had taken the RailRunner and it was very nice.
We stayed at the La Fonda Hotel. Its location has been the longest ongoing site of an inn in America (if that makes sense). Here is a pic of Mr. Willow standing by our room. Over a period of 50 years, one artist painted little touches everywhere where you wouldn't expect- above light switches, fuse box panels, wiring covers, bathroom windows, etc. It made for an unique experience.
Darn, I thought I posted a pic of me standing in front of St Francis Basilica when it was snowing. We spent alot of time walking around in the snow. It was so pretty.

Cosmos and Cupcakes

For our Girl's Night, we served cosmos and cupcakes. Yum! Jessica from Lavande is my new neighbor in Scotsdale Village. She is a hairdresser and makup artist. She came and offered mini makup consults to the ladies. She couldn't say it enough, ladies ...moisturize, moisturize, moisturise!
The cosmos were zero proof. So pretty, so easy. For one serving, you mix 1/2 c. cranberry juice cocktail, 1/2 c. no sugar added white grape juice, 1 tbls. Rose's Lime Juice and cruched ice. Add a splash of orange selter and a orange slice. Enjoy!

Can you guess how many conversation hearts there are in this pretty glass container? I'll give you a second to think about it. We actually had several ladies tie with the closest answer of 1300, so we put their names in a hat and drew one. Cary is the winner. The exact amount was 1312. Took me a while to count them all, I'll tell you.

Meet Zeke!

I want to introduce Zeke, my very handsome shop dog. He accompanies me to the shop most days. He snoozes until someone wants to say hello and then he is so happy to be petted. He is a Catahoula or a Louisanna Leopard Hound Dog. Somedays Zeke has more visitors than I do!

Antique Connection

Just wanted to show off my booth at the Antique Connection. I have had it about 4 months. Why you might ask, does a shop owner have a booth in an antique mall? Well, I was trying to draw traffic to my shop. Don't know if that is happening but I am meeting some very nice people at the Antique Connection and even learning some stuff. I had no idea there were real gems inside a pocket watch. Who knew?
