Just thought I would show you

some trolls under the bridge. Not really, only one. Seattle is full of art everywhere you look. It is an incredible city. Since the seventies, 1% of the city's captial improvements monies goes for art. Around every corner, there is some sort of sculpture or painting. This huge troll sculpture was tucked under a bridge.

Treated myself

I worked so hard painting today, I thought I deserved a special snack. Ginger peach iced tea and a mighty tasty chocolate chocolate chip cookie sprinkled with sea salt. Who would have thought chocolate and sea salt would be sooooo wonderful!

Photos from our Summer Tea this afternoon

The savories were a mini quiche, butter and cucumber tea sandwich, chicken salad tea sandwich, stuffed pea pod, asparagus and dip. MMMMM, so good!
Chocolate bonbon mousse, almond petit four ,lemon tartlett, and a madeline. We also had a scone with clotted cream and lemon curd but I ate mine before I remembered to take a photo!
Lynn at Peddlin' Pastries catered this wonderful tea. We had twenty five ladies who enjoyed their afternoon immensely.
Ruthie, who was such a sweetie, kept our teapots filled ( I forgot to mention we had three kinds of tea).

I hope you join us for our next tea. What better way to spend an afternoon with friends, sipping tea and visiting!

These are sooo popular

I love these cds. They have the headlines and the popular songs of the year starting in 1929. What a great birthday or anniversary gift for that person that has everything.

I know, I know

I already shared these incredible fans but I got even more. Don't you just love this elephant? These range in price from $110 to $55. The large and medium sized fans have two speeds and the small (gecko, cat. dog, hummingbird) have just one. Which one would you choose?

I got carried away and bought many, many wonderful books at market

I am telling you. There I was surrounded by so many books. they were like potato chips, I couldn't stop at just one! Here are just a sampling!

A perfect book for the newlyweds.
This book is so fun. The names of the drinks are a hoot- Getting Layered, Rx for PMS, Anti-Super Bowl punch to name a few. The recipe for Chocolate-Mint Hormone Replacement Therapy made with chocolate mint ice cream and godiva liqueur is to be served with hand held fans and tissues.

A little book of fizzy cocktails for every occasion using champagne, prosecco and sparkling wines.

This is a very small sampling since I erased several books somehow. More will follow in another post. I went crazy with children's books, too!
