Time to do some fall cooking. Here is a recipe for Slow Cooker Autumn Stew
2 butternut squash, peeled and diced
4 potatoes, peeled and quartered
2 sweet potatoes, peeled and quartered
2 c. buttermilk
14 oz can beef broth
1/8 t. ground cloves
1/2 t cinnamon
28oz can turkey, drained
1/2 t sage
1 t dried parsley
1/4 c. cornstarch
Arrange squash and potatoes in slow cooker, add buttermilk and broth, sprinkle cloves and cinnamon. Add turkey, sage and parsley. Cover and cook on high for 5 hours or until potatoes are tender. Whisk in cornstarch and cook until sauce thickens. Serves 8-10.
