Happy New Year
Can't believe another year has come and gone. As much as I enjoyed 2010, I am looking forward to the new year. We have some big changes coming up at the shop. Since you are reading this, you will be one of the first to know. Willow Creek is moving. Yep, just down the street a bit to a bigger spot. I am quite excited! We will start the redo next week and hopefully be in by the beginning of February. I will keep you posted. Happy New Year, my friends.

I am insane
which is why I haven't posted lately. In the busiest season of retail, we decide to install new carpet. Mr. Willow wanted the new carpet installed before our Christmas party on the 16th and what Mr Willow wants, Mr. Willow gets (most of the time). As you know if you have gotten new carpeting, it is like moving. Not only do we decide to get new carpeting throughout the house, we decide to paint (because who wants old looking walls with new carpeting). So I pack up all the smalls, and start painting. Fortunately, I had a lot of help painting. OK, so they did most of it. I only painted a couple of rooms and a hall. Thank you, Eric and Chris.
So the new carpeting was installed Monday and Tuesday. I whipped the first floor of the house into shape and Thursday we had our annual Christmas party. A good 75 adults and children sipped and nibbled and nary a drop landed on the carpet. Unbelieveable!

Holiday Tea
We had a beautiful tea today at the shop. Remembered my camera but, drat, didn't remember to charge it. So I will have to tell you about it. Lynn from Peddlen' Parties outdid herself. We have delicious pumpkin scones with citrus peach butter and clotted cream to start. Then holiday tea sandwiches and a wonderful pear salad. The mini chicken potpie was to die for. Dessert was apple coin purses, pecan tassies and a pumpkin roulade. I had a wonderful time visiting with my daughter, Amber. I am telling you ladies, there is nothing like a relaxing time spent with a daughter or girlfriend. I think I read recently that studies show time spent with a girlfriend is actually proven to be good for your health. I believe it. Don't you always feel better after being with a girlfriend?
