I have been so remiss

in sharing photos of the Christmas trees. Here are some closeups of ornies on one tree. More to come.

My elves were very busy

We decorated the night before our Christmas Open House. I have the trees fluffed and set up with the lights and the gals hang the ornies. It takes us a couple of hours, then off to dinner. This year we went to the Black Angus. Thank you Tami, Bev, Amber, Carol, Ann, Cindy and Elfriede for all your help. You gals are the best! Our Open House was a great success. Thank you all for coming!

Our October Tea

Of course, I forgot to take pics of the food. Take my word for it, not only tasty but very pretty. We had Salt and Pepper Scone with pumpkin jam, Chicken tea sandwich, pear and avocado salad, twice baked potato, cherry tart, pumpkin trifle and chocolate brownie cake with two kinds of tea. Yum!

guess who has an owie?

Yep, our new little kittie-Zak! We aren't sure what happened but think he might have fallen out of a tree.
He broke his leg and needed surgery, a FHO (femoral head ostomy) to be exact. He is limping but it hasn't really slowed him down. What a trooper.
Zeke and Zak are so happy to be together. I know sometimes Zeke thinks he is too cool for little Zak but he truly missed him while he was having surgery.

I have been busy

enjoying our granddaughter. What a cutie patootie!

Saw this idea

in Martha Stewart's Halloween magazine. I think I might use it for our Thanksgiving centerpiece this year. Elegant but simple-nice.

A couple of weeks ago

Zeke and I were on our morning walk when this little kitten came right up to Zeke and followed us several blocks. He just followed Zeke right in the house and has been with us ever since. We have named him Zak. So I thought I would share a few photos of the boys.

My new sign

I just purchased a one of those LED signs that I can program messages on. I am so excited. Mr. Willow put it up Sunday and programmed the first message. I drove up to the shop and saw this (below). He is so romantic! What a keeper!

American Girl Trunk Show

Anita brought quite a collection of American Girl dolls and accessories on Saturday. There were a lot of ooohs and aaahs.

Girl's Night Out, July 28th

Amber with her lovely smile, greets everyone and gives them each a gift that has a discount good for Girl's Night Only.
Renee and Betty put together a little love note pocket (which I forgot to get a close up of, but take my word for it, they were very, very cute)that Amy showed for our make and take project for the evening.
Also Vanessa was there doing her famous chair massage. Thank you all for coming.
I wanted to share the recipe for the Tea Sangria that was so popular (and sooo easy)
